Hi!

I’m Jen: full time reader, blogger, bookstagrammer, history student, day-dreamer and tea-drinker. I love Jesus, Paris, music (spotify tells me ‘Indie-Anthem Folk’, to be precise), singing loudly (and definitely badly!) and writing stories. My dream is to become a published author – if only I can get through those edits!

      1. Those are actually my interest areas as well! I’d love to learn more about French history, but I’m also into Asian history, especially China and Japan.

      2. We did two areas of study this year that were focused on the Holocaust, and Stalin, so I guess that’s one reason I’m fascinated by modern German and Russian history.

      3. They’re always so fascinating to read and learn about, and there’s so many different perspectives in every revolution and rebellions! I love reading about the different perspectives because it’s quite fascinating.

  1. Hey there! I checked out your blog cause you liked a post on mine and I just loved your picture! Super cute! And boy your list of favorite books is amazing: I love the Study series, and the Lunar Chronicles, and the Grisha series and just finished The Great Gatsby! I’ve been meaning to read A Darker Shade of Magic for ages (I adore Victoria Schwab’s The Archived) — what makes you like it so much? You’ve encouraged me to add it higher on my list!

    1. Hi there! Thank you so much! Glad we have some of the same favourites! I absolutely love the Archived, but I think A Darker Shade of Magic is my favourite Victoria Schwab book! I love the alternate Londons and the magic. And the story is so much fun and epic!
