Hi!
I’m Jen, the writer behind Reader in a Reverie.
I am a twenty-something lover of stories, who can be found in Cornwall (or anywhere where there are books, cosy blankets, and cups of tea).
I often find myself lost in a fantasy series, but my desire for variety in every part of my life also leaks into my reading list, and so you’ll find me reading and recommending a variety of genres on here!
I hope you enjoy my little corner of the internet!
I would love to hear your views on my reviews and posts! Please feel free to comment, or send me an email at readerinareverie@gmail.com
If you would like me to review your book, check out my Review Policy page.
I nominated your blog for a Liebster Award 🙂 Check it out here!

I love modern European history – especially Russia and Germany. Although I would love to know more about French history too. What about you?

Those are actually my interest areas as well! I’d love to learn more about French history, but I’m also into Asian history, especially China and Japan.

We did two areas of study this year that were focused on the Holocaust, and Stalin, so I guess that’s one reason I’m fascinated by modern German and Russian history.

I’m not much of an expert on Asian history, but I think a lot of Chinese political history would be interesting! I love learning about revolutions and rebellions mostly!

They’re always so fascinating to read and learn about, and there’s so many different perspectives in every revolution and rebellions! I love reading about the different perspectives because it’s quite fascinating.

Hey there! I checked out your blog cause you liked a post on mine and I just loved your picture! Super cute! And boy your list of favorite books is amazing: I love the Study series, and the Lunar Chronicles, and the Grisha series and just finished The Great Gatsby! I’ve been meaning to read A Darker Shade of Magic for ages (I adore Victoria Schwab’s The Archived) — what makes you like it so much? You’ve encouraged me to add it higher on my list!

Hi there! Thank you so much! Glad we have some of the same favourites! I absolutely love the Archived, but I think A Darker Shade of Magic is my favourite Victoria Schwab book! I love the alternate Londons and the magic. And the story is so much fun and epic!
